Using eduroam on Windows 7

To use Eduroam on a windows 7 machine it is preferred to use the SecureW2 Client. The SecureW2 client is a network credentials manger for Windows, and ensures a safe connection to the Eduroam network. There is a reconfigured client available from the gbar Download page. The installation is straight foward, just follow the instructions given by the installer. When the client have been installed you should be able to connect to eduroam. If you still are having problems, try the manual setup of eduroam.

Manual setup of Eduroam

When making the eduroam network, please use AES and WPA2-Enterprise as the Encryption type and Security type, respectively.

After this you will see a message saying Successfully added Eduroam

Eduroam is now configured. Click "ok" (a couple of times) to quit. Now you should be ready to connect to Eduroam with your student credentials ([DTU userid]@dtu.dk and password)

Use your credentials ([DTU userid]@dtu.dk and password; it has nothing to do with your email address, it is needed so that you will be authenticated on the DTU server) to login.
