ThinLinc issues on Windows and Mac
There have been reported issues with the new ThinLinc software on both Windows and Mac OS X.
Windows: black stripes all over the screen.
Until we get a fixed client, you can reduce the number of colours in the client to 256 (under Options -> Optimizations).
Mac OS X: scrolling up doesn't work.
The 3.1.1 client provided by Cendio has issues when scrolling from the Mac touchpad. You can download a patched version from the 'Download' link above. Please send us feedback about this patched version, in case you find any problems.

The G-bar servers bohr and erlang have been
shut down permanently. Use hald instead.
The HPC machines newton and isaac have been shut down permanently.
Hald has been moved to newtons hardware, so that the
old hald can be moved away to make room for new hardware.

Major software upgrade
During the summer break, DTU Computing Center (DCC) and the G-Bar have upgraded the hardware and software behind the G-Bar terminals. The terminals stay the same, but most of the installed software has been affected. Applications are no longer run on the sunq and glint application servers, but on new Linux servers named n-62-14-xx. This means that most applications in the G-Bar menu are now run on Linux servers.
Hopefully, you will notice that many applications have been installed in newer versions.
If any terminals have become unresponsive, this may be due to this upgrade; doing a hard power cycle (removing and replacing the power cord) should do the trick.
Not all information in the Wiki has been yet updated to reflect these changes, so we ask you to kindly bear with us. The information in the intro guide (on the left-hand menu bar) is up to date as of the start of this semester.

Space problem on repos-system
As some of you may already have noticed, the repository server has run out of space. We will therefore clean up, and make a backup of repositories which have been used for a while. Also, we kindly ask people to clean up their repositories if they are finished using it.

Comsol 4 available
Comsol 4 is now available in the G-Bar. It can be started just like Comsol 3, i.e., through the menu, or by running comsol40a from a terminal running on glint/linux.
