GBar Menu
The G-Bar menu contains a categorized list of some of the applications installed. An application started from this menu will automatically detect which server has the lowest load average and start the program there.
The menu should be the same no matter which window manager you choose. If you believe that your menu for some reason is not up-to-date, try to restart your window manager. This can be done from the menu. Note that this may only be a problem if your are using a smartcard.
In the following sections you will find instructions on how to start the menu, from the different window managers.

Using the menu
The G-Bar works by running the window manager on one server, and all other programs on a couple of larger servers. Whenever a program is launched through the menu, the script gbarstart is invoked. This script tests all servers, and starts the program on the server which is the least in use. This way all programs launched through the menu will always be running as good as possible on the system.
All the following windowmanagers are using a syncronized version of the menu. This means that aside from a couple of items specific for each window manager, the menus are exactly the same and always up to date.
